5x12 Portfolio

I began working with banquet cameras in 1997. They provided the large negatives I wanted for making large platinum prints. In 2002 I shifted from the 12x20 to the 5x12 format because the camera was smaller, lighter and easier to work with. Any lens that would cover my 8x10 negatives would cover my 5x12 film. I produced two books on Scotland using this format, Touchstones and Odin Stone. I continue to use the 5x12 format on a regular basis. These images, although not exclusively from Maine, speak of Maine to me. They are part of a larger project on Maine that I am currently working on. Many of these images have been used as the opening image to the website. I placed them here so that you could examine each individually.
